This assignment was to choose a story and create a composition with three characters. I chose Emperor's new clothes and The steadfast Tin Man. I changes the Steadfast Tin man story to make the the Troll a good guy who tried to save the unsuspecting tin man from the evil ballerina.

I love the classes I have taken this semester. I have two great instructors Joko and Tim who are sincere, helpful and friendly. Tim has been a great mentor for me . I think I have been getting better as an artist, learning not only designing and painting but about the industry and professionalism, thanks to Tim. I hope to get somewhere with his help!

Bay area is one of the demographically diverse places I have seen. And BART is a sample. I plan to do a set of interesting BARTians I see on my rides to school.

She's an old Asian woman with curly brown hair (!) I see regularly in BART. She mostly sleeps with an angry face while sitting and looks sad when stands up.

Orchid cat camouflages among the orchid flowers of evergreen forests to hunt on the insects and birds that feed on the flower's nectar. It also feeds on the flowers to get the rich color of its fur.

People I met

I want to do a series of character sketches based on the interesting people I meet in my daily life..
The first is gonna be an old person I met during the recent visit to my home town Chennai. He's 90 yrs old and no one knows his name. people just call him 'THATHA' (grandpa). his family has abandoned him. My mom has given him a place to stay and in turn he will guard the house and help my mom with chores like buying grocery.. Thatha is a little hunched. he is always shirtless and to the envy of other men, he still has a lot of hair. But he is getting weaker by the day and my mom may not be able to keep him for long. I just hope to see him stand by the drumstick tree and greet me as he usually does when i visit Chennai next...
